Biography
Blood Rooted was
formed in the
summer of 2006
when guitarist
Danny Blacker
finished his stint in
the US Navy, and
drummer Kevin
Young was finishing
up school.
The two friends from high
school spent time writing
songs by sending
sequenced Guitar Pro files
back and forth until the
summer of 2007; when the
two finally moved back to
Houston to complete
Blood Rooted.
With out a practice space, or other band members, the pair
were forced to make due. As the summer went by, the two were
able to secure a practice space and search for new members.
Gilbert Boyer, a
friend and former
band mate, started
jamming with the
duo and later joined
on to play bass.
After a frustrating run to find a
singer, Blood Rooted gave a
chance to another friend and
former band mate, Paul
Morrow. Seeing the potential
in Paul, he was asked to join
the band.
The group rehearsed for a
few months and feverishly
searched for a second guitar
player, but to no avail.
Blood Rooted decided to
play shows in the local
Houston area as a foursome.
Blood Rooted is taking on the
Houston Metal scene and
preparing to take the next step
in their career.
